Welcome to Patch Property
We are the original fixed fee estate agents in Paisley, right in the heart of Renfrewshire. We provide property owners with a cost-effective and efficient alternative to traditional agents who charge high commissions. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional results and ensuring that vendors receive the service they truly desire. We have definitely challenged the norm and caused some controversy by deciding not to charge any commission on sales. This means that vendors are aware of their costs right from the start. We are proud to say that this decision has been one of our best.
Over the past 20 years, our reputation for delivering outstanding service, offering value for money, and achieving impressive sales results has only grown stronger. Our dedicated team has saved vendors hundreds of thousands of pounds in fees, all while maintaining a high level of service.
First of all a little bit of history about Paisley and Renfrewshire, especially relevant if this is your first time looking for houses for sale in Paisley!
A bit of history
The town began its bid to become UK City of Culture in 2021 back in 2015. Paisley was shortlisted as one of five candidates on 15 July 2017, but unfortunately lost to Coventry on 7 December 2017. Despite this setback, Renfrewshire Council and the Paisley 2021 Board emphasized that Paisley’s journey will continue and that the bid process was just the start of regeneration efforts in the town.
Thanks to the funding secured during the City of Culture bid, several key attractions in the town have undergone major regeneration projects worth millions of pounds. This includes the £22million refurbishment of the Town Hall, which reopened in October 2023, the new £7million Central Library and Learning Hub on the High Street that opened in November 2023, and the ongoing £45million transformation of Paisley Museum set to be completed by late 2024. Additionally, Renfrewshire Council continues to support the Townscape Heritage Initiative and Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme, offering grants to property owners in Paisley and surrounding areas for historic building repairs and traditional shopfront reinstatements. Despite not holding city status, it is often referred to as “Scotland’s largest town” and ranks as the fifth largest settlement in the country.
